ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS PAPERWORK 2015

The survey of household spending (HES) conducted for the first time in 1957/58. Beginning in 1993/94 survey has been conducted every five years and the most recent studies was conducted in 2009/2010. The survey was made against private households in urban and rural areas.
The main objective of HES is to collect information on the level and pattern of consumption expenditure by households in the country on various goods and services. This information is used as a basis in determining the types of goods and services for the Consumer Price Index (CPI). It is also used to represent the expenditure pattern of households in Malaysia.
However, in recent years, the demand for data from such studies has increased and it is now used for several purposes. HES has become an invaluable source of information to governments and the private sector, researchers and university students.
SECTION A
Form 5 students are required to get the family's monthly income and monthly allocation for each of the following categories: Food, Utilities, Transportation, Education, Recreation and others.
