The names keep coming to the viewers, and the viewers become more and more emotional by the numbers. When the wall disappears on the ground with fewer soldiers, viewers feel lost. The using of black graphite is great because the reflections of the viewers overlap the names which creates huge impacts. Maya Lin used simple materials to create the beauty of the simplicity for Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial reflected Post-Minimalist concerns.
-How does the Coop Himmelblau reflect the Deconstructivist style? The rooftop of Coop Himmelblau seemed to be out of a part of the building. It had no explanation or logic for this phenomenon. The roof looked like to explode and gave an odd sense of catastrophe which was difficult to associate it as a conference room designed for a law firm. Comparing to the vintage apartment building below, the rooftop was so contemporary with a unique structure and color. Also, their materials were conflicting strongly.
