Jacob's Deficit In Schools Case Study
Jacob's deficits consisted of trouble using his hands or motor skills, being able to use expression and eye contact when talking, and had difficulty paying attention and following directions. At the IEP meeting his parents disagreed with where the school wanted to place Jacob. They did not want the education early childhood classroom services. They also felt that the proposed IEP did not have enough instruction time for Jacob. The IEP proposed 12 1/2 hours and the parents felt that Jacob should have at least 27 1/2 hours of instruction.
