1. INTRODUCTION ( COMPANY )
JCB India Ltd., (JCBIL) is a leading manufacturer of construction equipment in India.. The JCBIL is the subsidiary of the JC Bamford Excavators Limited, which was established in 1945 in UK with a commitment to provide the latest engineering technologies to its customers. JCBIL presently manufactures 26 different machines in seven product types at Ballabgarh, Faridabad. And also have the network of more than 60 dealers and 550+ outlets throughout India.
JCBIL’s first manufacturing unit was set up at Ballabgarh, Haryana in 2005. The green field project is spread across 125 acres and has an annual production capacity of 110 machines in one single operational day. The company’s second manufacturing facility is in Chakan, Pune in Maharashtra and a third in Chennai, Tamil Nadu where the fabrication of the parts to be used in the machines is done and supplied to Ballabgarh plant. These facilities are spread over 450 acres in Pune and 90 acres in Hosur, Tamil Nadu near Chennai.
Recently, the company had inaugurated the new plant of the area 520 acres near Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan in Northern India.
