Jennifer Lawrence Persuasive Speech
Talk to your children while they are eating; what you say will stay even after you are gone. Sometimes, if you stop talking, no one will know what you are thinking. Everybody thinks that their views are more important than everybody else's, and they should be the only ones who should be heard. But, that's not the case, everyone is entitled to think and speak freely. Talk to your children while they are eating; what you say will stay even after you are gone is important to live by, which can be seen through Robin Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, the poem Opinions & Decisions, and the Presidential election. Robin Williams shows that he is respectful, caring, and thoughtful when he helps the homeless, visits other countries to entertain , and when …show more content…
Lawrence shows that she doesn’t care what people think about her views or opinions. Jennifer Lawrence states “I was raised a Republican, but I just can’t imagine supporting a party that doesn’t support women’s basic rights.”(Stuart). Jennifer is entitled to her own opinions about how she feels about the candidates in the election of 2016. Women’s basic rights are important to her.Jennifer is very direct and opened on how she feels about Donald Trump. She says “My view on the election is pretty cut-and-dried: if Donald Trump is president of the United States, it will be the end of the world.” She adds, “He is the best thing to happen to the Democrats ever.”(Stuart). Jennifer shows that she doesn’t support Donald Trump what so ever, she has nothing good to say about his campaign or his running. When Hillary Clinton finds out about how Lawrence feels about Trump she find her very useful to support her campaign. “Hillary Clinton might be angling for an endorsement; the candidate tweeted a link to the actress’s October essay, adding, ‘Brava’.”(Stuart). Since Jennifer Lawrence proudly announced how much she hated Trump, Hillary swooped in for another kill, for another celebrity endorsement. Proving that this stars opinion and view was very …show more content…
After Trumps win on November 08, 2016 things quickly went downhill,. Violence quickly started bursting out in the streets multiple times. “An anti- Trump rally in Portland, Oregon, revved up as protesters confronted police Thursday night. What started out as a peaceful march, with more than 4,000 people quickly turned violent.”(Ansari). With this violence breaking out from the Hillary supporters shows how the people really think of Donald Trump. Its honestly sad that so many people can disrespect our possible new leader. He should be as respected as much as Hillary is. “People gather outside Los Angeles City Hall chanting ‘Not my President’. Outside the white house on Thursday night, protesters gathered with signs, some which said ‘Donald Trump is a racist’.”(Ansari). If this doesn’t show how disrespectful Americans are then, I don’t know what does. He isn’t even in office yet so there’s really no reason to throw a fit. People think that only their opinions matter but that’s not the case. The presidential elections and debates can be very opinionated with the president's views,or the winner of the election. Professor Deb Bentzel said that “As a woman and someone who believes all people, regardless of their race, religion, or citizenship status should be supported and embraced by this country, the racism, hate, misogyny, and fear that this man (Trump) projects and

There is something pretty ironic, that for a girl who likes to speak as much as she does, Erica has been getting a bad case of laryngitis since last spring break. Too much partying and screaming? When I first sat down with her, the cliché was making its way into my mind, as the young 19 years old girl is barely out of high school. However, while this mean MDMA and freedom for some, Erica Rizzo is a completely opposite number. She actually gets her kick through communication.…

In the 2016 elections democratic blue-collar workers felt that they weren’t being heard. When Democrat Hillary Clinton lost to Republican Donald Trump it upset a lot of people. According to a CBS exit poll, it was stated that; “Trump is more popular among white working class males, while Clinton’s supporters tend to be women, minorities and college degree holders.” Prior to the 2016 presidential nominee Donald Trump had no experience in politics. He was simply known for being a prominent business leader in America. On the other hand, you have Hillary Clinton who is the wife of the 42nd president of the United States Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton is an American politician and was the 67th person to come into the secretary of state, therefore many people believe this would give her an advantage in the 2016…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

I absolutely had to use a photo of Princess Diana because I was a huge fan of hers. I remember watching her wedding on television when I was a young child, and I cried like a baby when she met her untimely demise. I don't recall every crying like that when a celebrity died, but she was my heroine and I loved her! Since then I've kept up with the ins and outs of the Royal Family and the shenanigans of Prince Harry, my now favorite Prince. He is a Princess Diana reincarnated in the male form. Lives by his own rules and with not a care in the world. Madison and I were able to visit the Madame Tussauds London museum while on our trip to London just recently, thanks to the kind folks of Merlin Entertainment. Since this is most likely the only way we'll ever get to the meet the Royal Family we just had to do it. Now if you're thinking all wax museums are the same, well Madame Tussauds London is on a whole new level of awesome. I've…
