Jessic Can Jessica Remember Her Past Life?
‘ ‘ is about a teenage girl names Jessica who gets trampled by a bison in her family’s ranch. After she wakes up from her 9 day sleep in coma, she can’t remember anything. Not even her friends and family. When Jessica goes back to her home, she thinks that she will remember their fun Christmas’ or their birthday parties. Instead, she remembers her dog, Ollie. As Jessica tries to remember, she gets mad and frustrated. Jessica wants everything to go back to the way it is, but what if she can’t remember what normal is? What if she can’t remember how things used to be? Maybe some things are better hidden in the past. Is Jessica better off not remembering her past life? My favorite part of this book was the ending because it finally gave the answer to as how Jessica got trampled by the bison. I also liked the ending because Jessica finally accepted she might not remember some things and she was fine with it. I liked how the book ended on a positive note, Jessica with her caring and loving family. …show more content…
She has lived on her family’s ranch for her entire life. Her family says she loved the ranch, because of the nature surroundings. Another main character is her mother. Even though her mother is happy Jessica wakes up from the coma, she is also disappointed in her because she doesn’t remember her. Jessica’s father is another main character, as well as her little brother. They both don’t pressure Jessica so much, they give her hints on her past life, but aren’t disappointed in her when she doesn’t remember, at least they don’t show it. Jessica is a dynamic character; she changes in the climax of the story. Jessica’s parents and little brother are also dynamic characters. You can see the change in these characters, which makes them dynamic characters. A static character would be the bison, because without it, Jessica wouldn’t have almost died and wouldn’t have lost her

I like how its really intense and calming and also some parts funny. I like how it talks about teen pregnancy because some young teens will want to get pregnant at such a young age and if they read this book it may help them change their mind and wait till they get older, thats very important to me. I really like the chapter where Bobby was talking about the wall when he was trying to get everything back in place and try to see who he really was, i thought that part was really good. I like how it goes back and fourth for the chapters like then and now, it makes you want to read more because in one chapter it tells you really good information and you just want to read even more till the…

Jess Walter’s writing was definitely an interesting read and I felt like it was unlike any of the other readings that we have read thus far. It kept me interested in the story and I felt that was partly because of the mystery that came with it. The end of the story was a little suspenseful, not exactly knowing how the story was going to continue until you kept reading. Overall, it was a good short read.…

I am reading an English book called 'Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac'. It is about a girl called Naomi 16 years old. It starts off when she is in hospital not knowing why she is there after she has hit her head from falling down some stairs at school. She doesn't remember anything that has happened to her since she was twelve years old such as her parents getting a divorce, who her friends are, or whether she has a boyfriend or not. The book covers a length of about a year roughly, although it doesn't really make it clear. It is quite an ordinary novel about a teenager struggling through her life which is now even harder to bear due to the fact that she doesn't remember anything about herself. The opening of the story starts off with her introducing her beginning (being…

    - I absolutely loved it! The way Zoe described and expressed herself was amazing. There was a lot of details and I loved the way she described feelings, people and what things looked like. She is a really good writer! I especially liked the blog chapters (chapters that looked like blog posts), because it was different from other books I've read and the metaphors were interesting and well-described. I honestly didn't dislike anything, besides that it could've been longer. I didn't want it to end. So that's a positive thing!…
