Jessymol's Summary

Challenges
Jessymol has frankly shared me that she suffers much humiliation and is humiliated often. She cannot tolerate the scorching comments from her maternal grandmother. Grandmother often says to her.
“My daughter became a mental patient since you were born”
She feels so sad when she hears this comment. Then she thinks like this “why was I born? I should not have been born to add insult to injury.”
“Grandmother doesn’t say this kind of comments to my elder brother and sister but says only to me. Grandmother complains that my mother became a mental patient since I was born as girl”.

The illness of mother made her father a drunkard. The marriage of her father and mother was not with the consent of the respective families.
Mother eloped after her father. So the protest continues till this time. Hence, their children, suffer its consequences. Especially Jessymol faces the whole blame.
She says…
“My mother likes my elder brother the most she will take medicine only when it is given by him. She will get angry to me and my sister.”
“When my mother becomes too sick she will yell out certain bitter life experiences of the past. This cause quarrel at home”.
