Charles Darwin, a geologist in the United Kingdom, traveled by ship called H.M.S. Beagle around the world in five years from 1831 so that he would survey the Pacific Coast of South America. When he called at the Galápagos Island, he realized that even though in the same species, they changed their figure according to their environment for a long time. Moreover, Charles Darwin supposed that all creatures were a natural part of the evolutionary process. Galápagos iguana is a good example of this supposition. There are three types of iguanas, namely land, marine and black and white in the Galápagos Island. Now I would like to mention two differences and similarities between the three kinds of Galápagos iguana.…

What exactly makes these frogs so special? The Ranitomeya imitator is not only a mimic to other toxic frogs, such as themselves, but the only known frog to be monogamous. Though these frogs are very small in size and beautiful in vibrant black and yellow, they still remain to be very dangerous to other animals. The common name “Horned Toad” for Texas Horned Lizards comes from two of its most prominent physical characteristics. Phrynosoma cornutum has two large horns on the center of its head accompanied by lots of smaller horns around it (Bockstanz 2016). It is commonly called a “toad” due to its short flattened body and short legs (Seymour 2016). Spines are found all over the body of the Texas Horned lizard and down its tail (Seymour 2016). Sexual dimorphism between males and females can be seen in two ways, body size with females being larger and the presence of femoral pores on males (Figure2). It has been shown that southern populations of P. cornutum are on average larger that northern populations (Henke & Montemayor 1997). In southern populations…

Although they all live in the same general area, animals have different habitats, diets, and life spans.
