The persecution from the Nazi’s caused the resistance of the Germans. Even though the Jewish people were the Nazi’s main target, they didn’t just go after them. In over 100 ghettos, they rose in armed revolt. The Germans were taken off guard at this point but it didn’t keep them from containing this act of disobedience. The people rebelled by attacking with Molotov cocktails, hand grenades, and a handful of small arms. After all of this occurred, remaining Jewish resisters hid in the ruins of the ghetto.
Resistance in the Holocaust
A case of a dispersed nation threatened by the wanting of complete extermination, a military comparison does not come close to inadequate. The Nazi’s wanted to get completely rid of the Jewish
people. That’s when the Armed Resistance of the Jewish people started. Jews prepared themselves to die fighting on their own terms rather than die on the Nazi’s. This occurred extremely over the course of a month, starting in April. The armed uprising represented the choosing of death over saving of lives. Many of them were young and had no family obligations.
