Historical Background
 The Group has its origins in Jebsen & Co, a trading and shipping business formed in Hong Kong on Mar 1, 1895 by two young entrepreneurs, cousins Jacob Jebsen and Heinrich Jessen.  The partners went on to set up Jebsen & Jessen Hamburg in Germany in Jan 1909 to coordinate the trading activities and maintain relations between their firms in China and their European principals.  Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) was established in 1963 to concentrate on serving the emerging consumer and industrial markets of South East Asia.
