Before European contact the Native Americans believed in polytheism rather than monotheism grew corn on a farm instead of hunting, the Pueblo Indians lived in cubicles, they had advanced irrigation systems, Eastern Indians grew corn, beans and squash, and the Indians had no desire in money before contact with the Europeans.

2) What fundamental factors drew the Europeans to the exploration, conquest, and settlement of the New World? Explain at least THREE factors.
The Renaissance caused the Spanish to explore the world for new land and by seeing the gold and crops the new world had, they wanted to stay and make an empire. The overpopulation in Europe caused them to search for new land to farm on and when they found the new world they built new land there. The religious reasons came from the Europeans wanting to spread their religion and also build a new church in the new world.
3) What was the impact on the Native Americans, Europeans & Africans when each of their previously separate worlds “collided” with one another?
When the Native Americans, Europeans and Africans collided with each other, they traded a lot of ideas and spread a lot of diseases that many of the Native Americans had never been exposed to before. Columbus came up with the system that the Africans would do the work in the new world, the Europeans would accommodate the market, capital and technology and the Native Americans would supply the raw materials like gold, soil and lumber.
