Vietnamese company’s employee attitudes and behavior
The relationship between employees and their organization has been always attracted a considerable attention from the public these days. Therefore, there are numerous researchers doing thousands of researching projects related to this head topic like Argyris (1957), Myer and Allen (1997). Job satisfaction and employees’ attitude have an effect to the capacity and productivity at the workplace directly. People who are very satisfied with their job often work greater effective or lack of absenteeism, quitting job and late for work or lethargy. In Vietnam, thank to profound globalization, people has especially cared about diversity in organization’s culture and doing many researches to understand more about the level of job satisfaction and attitudes toward work of Vietnamese employees.
In July 2012, Vinaresearch which is top online research in Vietnam implemented a quick survey aiming to understand about thinking and work attitude of over 500 employees about their current job. In detail, it is so interesting to notice that the number of people who are satisfied with their current job accounted for 43.2%. Additionally, there was about 22.6% very satisfied with their job when was asked for the level of job satisfaction. By contrast, only 3% said that they were unsatisfied and 31.2% number of people neither unsatisfied nor satisfied. As results, we can realize that Vietnamese people are so easy to satisfy with their job. Furthermore, earning money has become the staple reason for people to go for working, making up to 78.5%. In addition, employees would like going to work because they prefer exchanging, applying and accumulating experience and knowledge, accounting for 51%. While there are just about 21.9% going for working because of favorite work environment and 25% going for work because of obligation and responsibility (Vinaresearch ).
