John Cariani's Almost, Maine Analysis
Rabbit Run Theater and Lake Erie College Studio Series serve up nine little love stories in one with their warm and fuzzy production of John Cariani’s, “Almost, Maine.”
Although it’s the dead of winter in an unorganized town that’s almost located in Maine, these tales don’t take place on Christmas. However, the surreal romantic comedy certainly hits the soft spot in the heart that’s typically reserved for Christmas stories.
Speaking of the human heart, the loosely connected tales take off when a camper named Glory (Jamie Kuta) plans a night under the Northern lights, gripping a paper bag she says contains her broken heart. As fate would have it, the grounds she’s camping on belong to a repairman named East- played by the naturally-witty Connor
