I did not think about the role of Fr. Pfleger as an image of a father for all children who has no father’s figure in the community, that is a good point. The case of John Turner, in Anderson book, is a good example of how those young men in those communities struggle “by the luck of an effective model, or a decent father,” and yet John in his extreme needs, approached to Anderson (an unknown person), looking for an advise of a man, “might I have word with you.” Because Fr. Pfleger lives in the communities for so long, he knows everyone and all the news in the community, he plays not only a role of a “father,” but also as someone with Godly authority. He is a prophetic leader who stands for African American communities in the name of God. Somehow…

John Dalton is a chemist who was born on September 6, 1766, in Eaglesfield, England. In 1803 John Dalton created the Dalton’s Atomic Theory. When Dalton’s atomic theory was created chemists believe his ideas were untrue. Even though Dalton’s atomic theory is two centuries old scientist still question to this day whether his theory has been proven correctly or incorrectly. There appear to be many articles out there pointing out what was inaccurate about his theory. However, still to this day chemist/people believe some of his theories are correct. Dalton’s hypothesis tried to prove the matter in the terms of atoms and properties. I discovered two articles that I referred to the first article is called the “Atomic Theory of Matter” This article was last updated on July 20, 2016. The second article I discovered is called “Postulates of Dalton’s Atomic Theory”. This article was last updated on March 21, 2017. The articles describe what is true and false about Dalton’s theory. According to Dalton's atomic theory, it was stated Dalton atomic theory was the first work created that describes the atoms and properties. Dalton discusses four theories. The first part of his theory reads all matter is formed of atoms which are unable to break down. The second part of his theory reads atoms are similar in mass and properties. The third part of his theory reads combinations of two or more different types of…

1800 AD It was John Dalton who determined that each chemical element is composed of a unique type of atom, and that the atoms differed by their masses. He devised a system of chemical symbols and, having ascertained the relative weights of atoms, arranged them into a table. In addition, he formulated the theory that a chemical combination of different elements occurs in simple numerical ratios by weight, which led to the development of the laws of definite and multiple proportions.…

In 1803 John Dalton developed the theory of atomism by conducting different experiments and he found out that each element is composed of different atoms to other elements. He also theorised that all the atoms in an element is identical and that compounds are made of two kinds of atoms combined together, which lead him to develop the idea that chemical reactions change the way atoms are grouped together. He also had a theory that atoms are in and could not be created nor destroyed and they can’t be divided into smaller sections.…

In today’s society, nuclear chemistry is becoming more and more common and is being used in a variety of ways including for weapons and the medical field but the significance of this type of chemistry is its impact and what it has contributed to the world. Nuclear chemistry is the branch of chemistry concerned with nuclear reactions, radioactive substances and is the study of the chemical and physical properties of elements when influenced by changes in structure of the atomic nucleus. In modern times it is referred to as radiochemistry and has become interdisciplinary in its applications ranging from the study of the formation of the elements in the universe to the design of radioactive drugs for diagnostic medicine. Today chemical techniques pioneered by nuclear chemists are so essential that biologists, geologists and physicists use nuclear chemistry as ordinary tools of their discipline. The significance and what nuclear chemistry involves all plays a role on how it is significant to the entire world. Overall nuclear chemistry is an interesting type of chemistry used more and more often in modern times with mind blowing facts on its origins, positive and negative effects on the world and how it functions or is put to use in today’s society.…
