John Fisher Persuasive Speech
My goal standing here, before members of parliament today, is not to attempt convince any of you that his eminence John Fisher, bishop of Rochester, is not guilty of treason; for his fate is already set in stone. However, I do believe that it is important for us to remember his eminence for not only his accomplishments in life, but also what he gave and provided for the great nation of England. Despite his misgiving, his eminence John Fisher possess qualities rarely seen in man of late, such as conviction, honesty and integrity. He is a true believer in the old Catholic faith and he never wavered, even currently as he faces death itself. It is my hope that members of parliament remember John Fisher as a man of integrity and conviction; as someone

The term "designer baby" is an informal name given to a baby whose genetic makeup has been altered by means of genetic engineering. This term was originally derived from 'designer clothing ', implying that the baby has been pieced together with desired 'traits ' or characteristics according to the direction of those that hold with them the power to change a baby before it is born. This may be the parents, scientists or doctors. Currently, it is a technology in its early stages, used to screen embryos and select those with desirable traits for implantation into a mother. However, as it slowly advances and possibilities begin to reveal themselves, parties for and against have rallied about the moral rights…

The most popular nickname for the Skyline GT-R is “Godzilla”. I like to call it the “King Of The Streets” though because of its Japanese origin and its immense power. You must be wondering why it’s nicknamed the “Godzilla”. The reason being is that in the 1990 Australian Car Championship, Nissan’s R32 GT-R won the race and knocked the, in my opinion, retarded Ford Sierra off the podium that it held for a small amount of time. Ryan McElroy, contributor of Car Keys claims that, “From 1991, Australia was the GT-R’s first export market, and after it knocked the venerable Ford Sierra Cosworth off the podium at the Australian Touring Car Championship, Australian press started to refer to it as “Godzilla, the monster from…

The Crucible is a good portrayal of the events that happened. The vulgar acts of the townspeople to these ladies is profusely obscene. This would not happen today, people may get immensely worked up over things but they would never kill people like that. In today's society we still have radicals, but law enforcement would never let this happen. The peril of what happened back then is an abomination; it is a blemish on our country.…

What I'm about to tell you may shock you, might even amaze you. Let me start from the beginning. It was a day at the end of June, this day starts off the coast of Nirvana (an island located in the centre of the Pacific Ocean), where a beautiful young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes was exploring the rocky shores after a big day of surfing. As she explored the girl noticed an opening in the rocks. The young girl was curious about the opening and her inquisitive nature drove her to check it out. As the girl got closer to the opening she began to hear a 'whooshing' sound coming from within the opening. The girl continued to move closer to hear what was making the sound but SUDDENLY! She slipped and let out a loud horrific squeal.…

Imagine that you trained all your life for that special moment of playing in your first NHL game. At the beginning of your first shift in the game suddenly another player’s stick comes up and strikes you in the eye. This incident ends your career. This could have been prevented if you wore a visor. I think visors should be mandatory in the NHL in order to improve a player’s safety. Statistics have proven players who wear visors in the NHL play less aggressive. There are many incidents involving sticks and pucks going into player’s faces. A recent incident occurred between Philadelphia’s Chris Pronger and Toronto’s Mikhail Grabovski. Furthermore, two years ago a former NHL player Brad May, Gave a speech supporting the use of visors.…

Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the forty-fifth President of the United States of America on January 20th, 2017. This follows one of the most controversial presidential elections in history. Since the ceremony there have been protests nearly every single day not just in the United States but all over the world. This comes about because of Trump’s executive orders which are laws created by the President that do not require Congress’s approval and take immediate effect. These cover a wide range of hot topics such as immigration, foreign affairs, and the public health of the American people. Abusing executive power shows that the president has proved that he is a threat to our democracy. Our leader demonstrates that he is not capable of holding…

The ship sets its course to an unfamiliar destination. Civilization. As then sail flies up and the ship goes on its way, the boat is silent. The boys were now on there way back to society, away from the mischief and savagery that had grown within each of these boys on that horrid island. The dark clouds filled the blue sky and the ocean rocked the boat back and forth. The boat was silent as night as the boys shook from not only the movement of the boat, but the horrors that have overtaken their minds away from humanity.…
