John Gerety Short Biography
John Gerety, age 85, passed away June 5th, 2080. He was born February 25th, 1995 in Baltimore, Maryland. John passed away from a stroke while playing a round of golf with his Wednesday afternoon golf group in which he’s been apart of since the beginning of his retirement. John and his wife of 58 years, Katherine, moved to Amelia Island, Florida during their retirement years. Before their settling in Florida, they lived a happy, loving, and healthy life with their three children Annie, Gracie, and Buzz. John and Katherine got married at the age of 27 after reconnecting through mutual friends during college. They had their first-born three years later, Annie, who is now 55 years old living with her husband and children in Athens, Georgia. A couple years later, John and Katherine were blessed with twins, Buzz and Gracie. Buzz and Gracie are 53 years old and both reside in Knoxville, Tennessee with their individual families as well. Before meeting his wife Katherine during his late college years, John lived a blessed childhood growing up with one sister, Mary Katherine. Him and Mary Kate grew up in Bel Air, Maryland where they lived with their mother and father, Jill and Rick. John attended catholic school his entire childhood and his religious faith was important to him throughout his lifetime. John studied …show more content…
He was always filled with jokes that left the ones around him smiling from ear to ear. He never took life too seriously and wanted everyone to remember how precious life can be. John was very close with his father who he looked up to and admired more than anyone during his lifetime. He lost his father twenty ears ago and his passing taught John a true lesson of life. He retired shortly after his father’s unexpected death in order to spend as much time as possible with his family and mother who was also in her last few years of
