We arrived in Fort Casper about noon and we decided to stay here until tomorrow. I haven't wrote for a while so I wanted to recap on everything that has happened since I last wrote and there were some interesting things. When we came to California crossing we went on the north path. When we were passing Courthouse Rock, the younger children ran toward it. They want to play on the three story tall rock, but us parents scolded them and we kept moving. As we approached Chimney Rock, the big landmark reminded me of the factory is New York City, when I visited it in my youth. As we are making our descent from Scotts Bluff, Sam Flemings wheel felloe broke after hitting a bump on the trail. We stop and set up camp knowing the felloe will take some time to fix. As we were fixing it, some Cheyenne Indians. They were friendly and the told us the land we were on was their hunting ground. We then trade with them, we gave them guns and in return they gave us bison meat and fur. The next day we headed to Fort Laramie. As I was on livestock watch at night, a man named James Seiple tried to steal one of my cows. I chased after him and beat him up. We left the next day in a hurry. Now you are caught up to where I am, Fort
