I disagree because it limits adolescents interaction with the community at large and disrupts important learned behaviors such as coping skills and confidence. In his speech John specially states that “we all live in networks, not communities and everyone I know is lonely because of that.” So I don’t understanding why he puts a focus on homeschooling which does not emphasize community in the slightest, instead it relies on small network for socialization, education, and family life balance. If we use homeschooling as a solution, we will lead very lonely lives and lack the skills to interact effective. This would put us all at a disadvantage when we join the workforce because homeschooling puts little emphasis on teamwork. Also homeschooling is not conducive to single parents who can’t afford to stay home and be their child's teacher when they need to earning an income to provide essentials. While our current education system needs to be adjusted to meet modern criteria, I don't believe wide scale homeschooling is the
