In the film, John Archibald is a man of low income and some bad choices. John has a wife, Denise, and a son, Mike. John is at his son’s baseball game. Mike hits a the ball and runs; although when he is running bases Mike collapses. John and his wife Denise rush Mike to the hospital to get immediate attention. Mike's heart was three times the normal size which caused blood to pump into his lungs. John rushed his son to the hospital and when they got there they treated him partially but they could not perform the heart transplant needed. This was because John’s insurance would not cover it and the hospital wouldn’t let him give them a payment later. Conflicts of the movie and reality would be how the healthcare system is unfair to those who aren’t privileged in life. The characters are also very relative to our lives. The characters and their decisions would be the same as anyone and the things the do would also be the same as any normal person in this society. The themes represented in John Q are also, and most relevant in the world. You must fight for what you believe and not everything comes easy. All of these things were wrapped up and put together to create the film John
