John Rockefeller was born in a humble family with 7 siblings, he would earn money to help his family by raising turkeys, doing jobs for neighbors and selling candy, so from a young age he knew what hard work was. After he retired in 1897 he was inspired to be a Philanthropy by Andrew Carnegie. He donated more than half a billion dollars to educational, religious and scientific causes. Gave money to found the University of Chicago.
