John Ronald Reuel Tolkien's Argumentative
Smart. Creative. Imaginative. Those are just a few words to describe John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. Born in Bloemfontein, Orange Free State (South Africa) in January 3, 1892, Tolkien was a clever boy who was eager to explore. He had an older brother, Hilary Arthur Reuel Tolkien, who was a schoolboy learning to read and write. Such a small mind, yet such a desire to learn. When he was just three years old, he and his family moved to England. This would be the start of a new chapter of his life. A chapter filled with hope and opportunities.
Tolkien started school shortly after moving to Birmingham, United Kingdom. Being the clever young schoolboy he was, he quickly learned how to read and write. We all loved him very much, and when he went to Exeter College, we were so proud of him. After tedious years of college, he finally graduated. Everyone was

As the years followed, Michael, Christopher, and Priscilla were born. They lived in Birmingham, UK, which was a good environment for the kids at the time. When Tolkien wrote his first book, Roverandom, which would soon be a sensation after it was published, he was teaching at Oxford University as a professor. We all supported him in the book and were so elated for him. He wrote many other great books after that, including The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Ten awards were given to him for his outstanding accomplishments in the writing field, but sadly he wasn’t there to see that great moment. Our beloved John R.R. Tolkien died on September 2nd, 1973 at an age of 81 due to complications with rheumatic fever. It was a day of grief and mouning for all of us that loved him. Personally, I still visit his grave every now and then. He was buried at Wolvercote Cemetery, Oxford, United Kingdom, next to our very much adored Edith. We will love you through life and death and you are greatly missed. R.I.P. John Ronald Reuel

John F. Kennedy once exclaimed, “Every American who ever lived, with the exception of one group, was either an immigrant himself or a descendant of immigrants(A Nation Of Immigrants page 3)." John was known for his irish-catholic heritage, and he served as one of our most beloved presidents. John A. Treutlen was the first naturalized citizen governor. Treutlen’s parents were raised with British ideals. When Treutlen went off to America to make something of himself, his parents called him worthless (D). However, he rose above his heritage to bring great ideas to American policies. Treutlen wasn’t the only citizen considered worthless. In fact many immigrants feel like this when they come to America. Opening doors of hopes and dreams for thousands of people, the discovery of the New World rapidly broadened the minute and stubborn perspective of the world people once knew. Promising of wealth, new lives and freedom, many sold their life to servitude for a taste of America. But instead of wealth, they found debt. Instead of a new life, they found death. Instead of freedom, they found the endless cycle of poverty. Although few made gains, many, like Richard Frethorne, were left impoverish and destitute. Frethorne’s letter supported Hofstadter’s adverse views on indentured servitude in three main criteria: the disappointment of the New World, the inescapably torturous life of an indentured servant, and the countless deaths that diffused throughout the journey.…

As the title of this Rogerian Argument states, are comic books real literature? We’re not entirely sure how often this question is asked, but it is definitely a question worth asking. Comic books have been around since the 40s and possibly way before, so it’s no coincidence that these books would be subject to immense amounts of controversy over the decades. One of these controversies is whether or not comic books should be considered “real” literature. Many people believe comic books to be too childish and unrealistic, while others think of comic books to be quite profound.…
