Section 2: On February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas a legend was born named Johnny R Cash. His parents Ray and Carry were poor cotton farmers in a very rough stage in history. The cash family moved to Dyess, Arkansas when he was just 3 years old. President Rosevelts new plan gave the cash family 20 acres to farm. At the age of 5 Cash started to help his older siblings on the farm. Cash allways looked up to his older brother jack who played a very active role in the church. Jack was killed by injuries from a saw mill one hot day. This really shook cash up. It was said that cash even dug his brothers grave before the funeral. The death of jack gave Cash inspiration to start singing. This is when his music career started. While working in the field he allways heard the negros singing their blues.
