John's Model Of Reflection

The reason why I choose John’s model of reflection as it has a structured of reflection that is to increase the awareness of how I think and act upon to improve the practice in my unit. John’s model (2000), structured of reflection can be used as a guide for analysis of a critical incident or a general reflection on an experience. I prefer to use John’s model structured of reflection because John supports the need for the learner to work with a supervisor throughout their learning experience. Where he refers to this as guide reflection and recommends that nurses use a structured diary. According to Heath (1998), John’s model has been found to be attractive to be used because of the cue questions that allow an individual to expand their thinking.
