The most scene being analysed today occurs when Belfort and his friend Donnie Azoff happen to take extremely strong Quaaludes, Quaaludes are an Iconic drug used in The Wolf of Wall Street and were originally prescribed to housewives who couldn’t sleep, if you resist the urge to sleep you will experience various side effects such as a release of endorphins and euphoria. During the time Belfort and Donnie are sitting waiting for the drug to kick in, they think they have been ripped off, as a Quaalude usually takes 15 minutes to kick in.
