Joseph St. Ours Characteristics

A hero is somebody who does good for society. They have many characteristic traits. A hero can be someone who saved everyone from a burning building to a person that studied hard, got a degree, and became successful. There are tons of well known heroes who save lives, but there are more silent heroes who may do something that could help make somebody's life a little better each day. Joseph St. Ours is a silent hero. Joseph was born February 28th, 1968 in Kittery, Maine. Due to the fact that his mother had off and on relationships, he never met his real father. Joseph had 3 other siblings, 1 sister and 2 brothers. He lived in a total of 17 different houses before the age of 18. He never did well in school, but after studying extremely hard, he got a masters degree in mechanical engineering. After getting a nice job, Joseph and his wife Andrea bought a beautiful home. Once they both had a steady income they started a family with 2 kids. The first heroic trait that Joseph St. Ours has is that he is cooperative. At such a young age Joseph learned how to cooperate with everyone. He was immediately brought into a family where
Ours is determination. Due to the fact that Joseph moved around once or occasionally twice per school year, his academics were not too good. Once Joseph started high school and the classes became more career oriented, he realized that a career in engineering was what he wanted. One of the most important parts about being an engineer is having a strength in the science and math subjects. Unfortunately, those classes were what Joseph was struggling in most. After failing algebra and chemistry he knew that in calculus and physics he needed to get perfect A’s. Luckily through all of Joseph’s studying he finally succeeded in those subjects. Once Joseph reached time to apply to colleges he had no troubles with getting accepted. Joseph was accepted into UNH and after 6 years he got his masters in mechanical
