These days, lies surround us everywhere we go. They’re on the television, on the internet, and sometimes even people around us lie. In this environment we have to be able to distinguish between truth and fiction, hence the saying “Don't believe everything you see on T.V.” This may seem like it’s a more recent development, but untruthfulness has been with us for longer. Even though it was written more than 30 years ago, Lies by Glenda Adams is still able to show us the repercussions of growing up in an environment of falsehoods.
In Lies our narrator is Josephine, she gives an example of what can happen as a result of growing up in an environment filled with lies. She herself has learned to lie from the people around her and sees it as a normal
