Journalism, the practice of investigating and reporting events, issues and trends to the mass audiences of print, broadcast and online media such as newspapers, magazines and books, radio and television stations and networks, and blogs and social and mobile media. To attain my journalism diploma I plan to attend Columbia university where I will be able to excel and succeed, there are many writing style such as, News writing: the prose writing style used for news reporting in media such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television, books and the Internet. Reporters: the people who gather facts for the stories they are assigned to write, I however plan to be a Columnist: an article writer who gives an opinion on a topic. Or I plan to be editing stories to improve the work of other people. They correct grammar errors and straighten out organizational issues. They write headlines and make sure the publication has a consistent style. At many publications, copy editors are an endangered species and journalists are expected to get it right the first time with no safety net. Journalism is not a very stable career, in terms of money. Until you attract some attention/get your name and writing out there, you'll be doing freelance work. I look forward to writing hard news stories that are short, very timely and focus on telling you what's just happened starting with the most important thing first.

In Frank Romero's, "Going to the Olympics" painting has a lot of cool and interesting stuff in it. There are cars with hearts above them, palm trees, a blimp with "Goodyear" spelling across it and symbols of the Olympics. I see iron, two men fighting, a horse and a stamp. All of these are most likely related to the Olympics. The cars probably mean that L.A has a lot of cars, especially since it was painted on a freeway and there is a bunch of traffic on them. Especially on the 405 at nights, which makes me think that the cars mean a bunch of traffic in L.A.…

Since a young age I’ve always had an interest in the media and when I began media studies at gcse I continuously became more aware of how dominant the media in the world is. When I began my A level in media studies I became to recognise how powerful the media in the world is and how it is frequently done by broadcast journalists. I’ve always loved the feeling of personal achievement and having pride in what I do, I’m aware that broadcast journalism would bring me high level of satisfaction and achievement. Also, I consider myself as wanderlust, the opportunity to international travel reporting significant events would be an overwhelming experience. Furthermore, I believe the essence of broadcast journalism is people and their stories, the chance to meet different people from different cultures and paths of life would give me personally such a thrill and an irreplaceable memory. Moreover, the variety of jobs within broadcast journalism is outstanding, the idea to go to work and not know what your job will entail that day because it includes so many different events and stories which need coverage is so exciting for me personally. Teamwork is personally a strong skill of mine as I communicate effectively to others, which would be put to good use within broadcast journalism. Finally, the range of job opportunities which I could put my practical skills to use in, are broadcasts which I persistently follow, but also influence and inspire me personally (television, radio and online).…
