Journey To America Analysis

This story has made me think about all the people have made many sacrifices to serve and protect this country from within the military. It makes me think about all the brave men and women who took a leap and choose to enter the military to give their lives to service and who are willing to enter a war to protect the freedoms that we pride ourselves upon in this country. It makes me reflect upon the hardships that those who are fighting to protect this nation are facing and what they must overcome to accomplish the missions they were sent out to do. This story shows that life for them isn’t easy and there is struggle, tears, and bloodshed that comes with their job. It reminds me how thankful we should be for what they do and how much of their
lives they give up, and how we should remember to cherish all that we are given. The story tells us that just because these men have left this country and are out fighting beyond the borders, that their troubles from home are still there and bear weight upon them. Those who have enlisted in the military that step up to the call of duty to protect our country face difficult times. In the war zone they have seen things that cannot be unseen; men shot before their eyes, weapons fired upon them, and traveling blindly into battle. Soldiers out in the war zone have the weight of the world on their shoulders both literally and figuratively. They must carry with them all their weapons, luggage, baggage, equipment, problems, and much more. A person who is in the military is someone who should be thanked for their service as they have given up many things, suffered sometimes, and have courage to stand up for the freedoms that have been bestowed upon us.
