Abstract
The movie, The Joy Luck Club introduces the intercultural communication and culture defined, that defines four woman and their daughters, individuals from their different Chinese cultures. The study of intercultural learning that reflects the relationships of four mother and daughter pairs, upon their multiculturalism has contributed to their strains of their relationships of different beliefs, values, and the viewpoints in life.
Intercultural Communication of Joy Luck Club
The movie, The Joy Luck Club is about Chinese culture the bonds between a mother and daughter relationship which it is very strong and emotional.
Culture is one of the key elements in the movie of the Joy Luck Club, which it establishes an ongoing conflicts between the protagonists of the movie. Briefly, the movie is about four Chinese mothers who migrated from China to United of States. Each of the four mothers talk about their Chinese culture and told them about their lives to their daughters. Believe or not, it is very useful for us to learn something about the differences of Chinese and American culture. Though they love each other very much, they could not remove the emotional barriers easily. The mothers were eager to dispel the misunderstandings and help their daughters when they were in trouble. They find a useful way to communicate with each other. Doing that, the mothers told their stories to the daughter with the mother’s help and encouragements, their daughters were courageous to face into difficulties and accept their Chinese culture.
