Morgan and Co. * Chemical Bank- Founded in 1823 the New York Chemical Manufacturing Company birthed this company at the roots of being a chemical maker. The next year in 1824 the company converted there business model to perform banking activities and became Chemical Bank of New York. This company became one of the leaders in the financing of leveraged buyouts. * 1984- Chemical Venture partners was launched and excelled in investment banking and financial ventures. Pioneer of the business Jimmy Lee and advising expert in this company. * 1824-1996: Chemical Bank was atop the largest bank in terms of assets and deposit market share throughout this time period. * 1996- Chemical Bank acquired Chase Manhattan Corporation. Weakened by the real estate collapse in the early 1990s, it was acquired by Chemical Bank in 1996 retaining the prominent Chase name. Prior to its notable merger with J.P. Morgan & Co., the new Chase expanded the investment and asset management groups through two acquisitions. In 1999, it
