Judi Monologue For High School
Judi enters standing center stage
Judi: Cut my hair
Pierce my tongue
What can I say?
Hell, it’s fun.
Judi starts maneuvering through the crowd
Keep your head down
Stare at the ground
Keep walking, acting proud

Hair dye stains
Tear drops dry
Hey it’s just another day of the lie
The lie that’s life

The life that sucks
Save me please, I’m going numb

Eyeliner smears
After those tears

God, help me
Before I fall

Enough of that
None of that desperate crap
Chin up
Smile at the teacher
Say you’re fine

Keep up the lie
You’re just fine

You don’t need help,
So just assist yourself
No one cares
‘t makes me numb

Just the stereotype, right?
This can’t be real
You’re just

On January 20th, Jackie Evancho stood on the steps of the U.S capitol and sang the national anthem for the incoming 45th President Donald Trump. Being able to sing the star spangled banner for the inauguration is quite the honor but Jackie received all sorts of feedback for representing Donald Trump. Throughout his campaign Donald had made anti-women claims and statements. Many people believe that performing for Trump amounts to some kind of capitulation to the anti-American ideals of the Trump campaign and transition. A day after the Inauguration a Women’s march packed the United States so there was a lot of controversy towards why Jackie would represent our President. Understanding the situation and the opportunity to represent the U.S, the lyrics of the National Anthem as well as the manner in which it is performed by Jackie Evancho misrepresents our country’s opinions and values regarding freedom and patriotism.…

Cassius used two different monologues to convince Brutus to help him assassinate Caesar. In the first monologue, Cassius used ethos to change his reputation and make Caesar seem weak and in the second monologue, Cassius used pathos and logos to convince Brutus of Caesar’s ambition and convince Brutus that it was his duty to stop it; both monologues convinced Brutus of different things but together they persuaded Brutus to join Cassius. The first monologue was used to show Brutus that Cassius was the better man and the second monologue was used to show just how much Caesar needed to be stopped. In the end, Brutus was swayed and ended up assisting Cassius with his plot against Caesar.…

I was sitting in the first floor holding a poster waving it around in a figure eight motion but he wouldn't look so i took it upon myself too walked up and asked “ lebron what are you thinking bringing a high school play too the nba are you out of your mind there's 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter and you're trying to pull this stunt off ? “East High is a place where teachers encouraged us to break the status quo and define ourselves as we choose. Where a jock can cook up a mean crème brûlée, and a brainiac can break it down on the dance floor. It's a place where one person, if it's the right person, changes us all. East High is having friends we'll keep for the rest of our lives, and that means we really are 'all in this together'. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!” Troy Bolton. Although I am not a student at East High from the movie High School Musical, this quote sums up my experience at North Kingstown High School. Like the students from the movie, I was encouraged to be myself and along the way I created life-long friendships and many memories.…

On a December evening cold enough to stimulate a gentle snowfall, I approached an electric blue vehicle residing in my driveway, mentally prepared to depart for Decorah on a school night. Seated in the driver’s seat was my enthusiastic Spanish teacher, beaming wildly as nightfall canvassed the horizon. As I opened the car door, a gust of heat emerged from the vehicle’s interior, luring me inside. Animated chatter spoken immaculate Vietnamese drowned out not only the music droning from the radio, but my Spanish teacher’s benevolent greeting. Nevertheless, I took my seat in the passenger’s seat beside her, and we were subsequently on our way.…
