Caesar was given signals of his death on March 15. It began with the soothsayer’s warning, “Beware the ides of March” (I.ii.25). Caesar had just blew the warning off like it was nothing. Caesar had decided he wasn’t going to go to the senate on March fifteenth due to Calpurnia’s dream. Decius explains to Caesar, “Most mighty Caesar, let me know some cause, / Lest I be laughed at when I tell them so” (II.ii.69-70).
