I graduated from Moanalua High School with an Honor Diploma because I reached the requirements and I also did Senior Project. To me, Senior Project helped me choose what I really want to become in the future, which is to become a Pediatric Neurologist. By taking Senior Project, I got to shadow my Pediatric Neurologist doctor and learn what he does for a living and what made him want to become who is now. In Hawaii, there are only five Pediatric Neurologist in total, counting my doctor, in the State of Hawaii. What made me want to become a Pediatric Neurologist is to help children that are in need, and I wanted to add numbers to the doctors in Hawaii. But what really made me want to become one was that I wanted to feel that feeling that every doctor feels when they…

While the clock is ticking down towards summer days you anxiously wait. While you love the idea of sitting by the pool, eating Doritios and not having to worry about papers. You are faced with the unthinkable, the inevitable, the very sad event... your friends are graduating. Up until this point, having older friends never seemed like a problem. If anything it was an added bonus. You automatically went from being a lowly underclassman to a respected individual. They have cars and more importantly licenses. They have experience, and give great advice. They told you which teacher to take classes from, what to wear to winter formal, and they always gave you a smile in the hallway. Having older friends are great! Until it's time for them to graduate.…
I don't like student led conferences, some of the good things about going to these are that my parents get to know how I am doing in school. Another is that they get to see some of the enviorments that we are learning in. My mom cares about that stuff because I have to study at home for church a lot and we have to go into a room that is not distracting. Also some of the reasons I don't like student led conferences is the time that we take to make the "portfolios" and we don't get more time to work on actual school work. Another reason why I don't like them is that we have to find a time to do the conference and we have a tight schedule at home so it is hard to find time for that. So in conclusion I don't like student led conferences because…
If I had to pick one extracurricular activity to pursue in college, I would definitely choose club volleyball. Ever since I started playing volleyball in the 7th grade, I have been hooked. From that point on, the sport has become an invaluable part of me that has helped me grow into the person I am today. Since I joined volleyball two years after most of my peers, I was put on the “B-team.” I was determined to work as hard as I could to be placed on an advanced high school team. Thankfully, my hard work earned me a spot on a state-winning varsity roster as a freshman. We went on to win two state championships, and I personally received an All-West Region award. In this way, volleyball taught me that teamwork, dedication, and perseverance…

Over the last few years I was involved with a few different activities like the robotics club and Civil Air Patrol. The Robotics club is a team composed of students from 9th grade to 12th grade along with adult mentors and we build and compete with a robot in the FIRST Robotics Competition. As member of the team I help with the responsibility of getting the robot programmed in the 6 weeks we have to build it. In the past two season our team has been to the regional competition that is held at Lehigh University and last year for the first time we had won a district competition and after regionals we had qualified for the opportunity to go to the World championship in St. Louis, MO. Outside of school I was apart of Civil Air Patrol which is a…
A good president is defined as someone who is a good leader, shows great skills in honesty, communication, commitment, intuition, and is capable of inspiring others. A good president isn’t someone who deeply wants to be portrayed as a public celebrity, cares about the way his hair looks more than he cares about our country, and isn’t accepting of all American citizens. Trump has been exposed countless of times furtherly embarrassing the United States. Recently Trump was discovered in several Playboy videos, associating with women and taking pictures of them with a polaroid. I ask myself on numerous occasions how is it possible for this man to have any supporters. Just take a moment and think about that, Trump, a man who is more of a celebrity…
I am amazed of all the things you manage to do and enjoy doing; I am a mother of a three-year-old and it has been a challenge, it just seems there is not enough time during the day anyways, it is never too late to learn and do what makes us happy, especially helping students when they are struggling to reach their goals. I admire your desire to help students good…
Some of the activities that I particularly enjoy are Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Scholars Bowl, and my youth group in my church. I have been in FBLA all four years of high school. My Freshman and Sophomore years, I was only a member of the group, but it was my Junior and Senior years that I became an officer. The positions that I held were Stucco Rep for my Junior year and Treasurer for my Senior year. FBLA was an activity that I enjoyed, but I found even more enjoyment from Scholars Bowl. Scholars Bowl is another activity that I have been in all four years of high school, as well as two from middle school. It is closer to a sport, rather than a club, so there are not office positions, but rather captains and managers. I held the position as captain of the junior varsity my Junior year. That was not the only leadership position I held, however: I am the leader for my church's youth group. This is my favorite activity and it is where I find the most enjoyment. I have been leading the group for about two years. This activity is what has given me the most experience in leadership, and it leads me to believe that I could do well in a leadership position. Some of my skills also show my qualifications. I am a good problem solver, a quick learner, and I can usually make peace with a struggling group. My skills can also be utilized in personal projects as well, though. This is useful to know because my career choice, computer programming, can be done with group projects or individual…
Originating in primary school, my peers and I acquired information that there was an isolated journey an individual could judiciously follow. Accomplish completing the twelve years of necessary schooling, enroll at a university, and once academics are completed, work in an office. Freshmen year of high school came abruptly, my classmates were touring colleges and buying their dream university sweatshirts. Meanwhile, I was overwhelmed, I had been evaluated as a child for the nine years of my academic career and immediately I was required to form a conjecture on life altering decisions. Petrified, I kept my mental state padlocked, and nobody, except two people understood or even could understand why, which made me slash my family and friends…

Hello my name is Dayo Akindele and I am interested in your school’s athletic department. I am 6’ 3” and weight 174 pounds. I have many different strengths in many different areas. First and foremost, I am a very hard worker. Whenever I do something I do it to the best of my ability and give it my all. I am extremely as seen through the dedication I have exerted through the years with the Heritage High School Track& Field and Basketball teams. Once I discovered that my true passion was track& field I completely devoted myself to the one program, while at the same time keeping up my grades in the classroom. I keep myself occupied running and jumping in this sport and I love it, but that is not my only motivation.…
