In 1984 a case before the Supreme Court limited the scope of Title IX (King, n.d.). Grove City College (GCC), in Grove City, Pennsylvania, took pride in being a private, coeducational liberal arts school that refused state and federal financial assistance (Ware, 2007). This gave them independence from federal regulation (Ware, 2007). GCC did have a large number of students that received Basic Educational Opportunity Grants (BEOG’s) issued through a Department of Education (DOE)-run program (Grove City, n.d). The DOE concluded these grants made GCC subject to Title IX (Grove City, n.d). When GCC refused to comply with the requirements of Title IX, the DOE attempted to terminate the student financial aid program (Grove City, n.d). GCC challenged the DOE’s actions all the way to the Supreme…

Tell one story about yourself that would best provide us, either directly or indirectly, with an insight into the kind of person you are. For example, the story can simply relate a personal experience, or a humorous anecdote; it can tell about an especially significant academic encounter or about an unusual test of character. The possibilities are unlimited (well, almost so). You choose. Just relax and write it. Princeton…

I am excited to be considered as a member of the National Junior Honors Society. Academics, leadership, service, and character are all important aspects of society. It is essential that we exhibit these traits, so it is my personal goal to show these traits in my daily life. The National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) is a place where I can grow in leadership and service. In addition to the demanding school work and rigorous musical training, I serve the elderly and the little ones.…

They say that community college is a lot worse than a four-year college or university. They say only slackers go to community colleges so they barely have to do any type of work. They say professors are terrible and do not know what they are doing at all. They say that anyone who goes to a community college will not get a good job in the future. They may say all of these and more, but have the people saying this ever attended a community college before? Probably not! There are advantages and disadvantages, but every college or university has them.…

Suppose you are the network manager for Central University, a medium-size university with 13,000 students. The university has 10 separate colleges (e.g., business, arts, journalism), 3 of which are relatively large (300 faculty and staff members, 2,000 students, and 3 buildings) and 7 of which are relatively small (200 faculty and staff, 1,000 students, and 1 building). In addition, there are another 2,000 staff members who work in various administration departments (e.g., library, maintenance, finance) spread over another 10 buildings. There are 4 residence halls that house a total of 2,000 students. Suppose the university has the 128.100.xxx.xxx address range on the Internet. How would you assign the IP addresses to the various subnets? How would you control the process by which IP addresses are assigned to individual computers? You will have to make some assumptions to answer both questions, so be sure to state your assumptions.…

Free college would be more like another high school. The Government may make a change that will affect a lot of people in the United States of America. That change is giving free college to every student which can either be a bad or a good thing. Although many people think it’s bad because free college would mean a raise in taxes. Secondly it is also a bad idea because the requirements at a job might get higher and be more than two years of college for most of them. Third reason free collegeis not a good idea is because the people that already paid for the two years of college may need to pay for another two years just get a job that they could’ve already had.…
