Junior Dos Santos
Junior dos Santos may have been pegged as being on the downside of his elite MMA career, but he proved that theory wrong when he annihilated top-ranked Ben Rothwell in the main event of UFC Fight Night 86 in Crotia.
That huge victory put the previously No. 5-ranked do Santos in line for another big fight in the relatively barren heavyweight ranks, and indeed there are strong list of potential opponents awaiting him after their current match-ups are done.
However, there’s another top heavyweight who doesn’t have a fight booked and wants a fight with dos Santos, it’s the Samoan Mark Hunt. The ‘Super Samoan’, who lost to a dos Santos spinning wheel kick in 2013, called out for a rematch with dos Santos on Twitter.

Junior Dos Santos first fought Mark Hunt back at UFC 160 in May 2013, where he finished the Samoan with a spinning hook kick knockout in the third round of the fight.
Hunt’s recent win against Silva and Frank Mir suggest that Hunt could deserve a rematch with dos Santos and that there’s no doubt that this fight would provide fireworks once again. Hunt has recently scored a huge knockout win over Frank Mir in the first round of UFC Brisbane main event. It took the Samoan three minutes to beat the former UFC champion Frank Mir in Brisbane. With those two impressive wins, Hunt has earned the type of career capital that warrants a big fight to anyone else and a rematch with “Cigano”.
The good news is that there is a seemingly endless gridlock at the top and that the UFC is ready to burst with matchmaking potential. The only problem here is finding a break and time in his opponent’s schedule.
Overall, Mark Hunt (12-10-1) continues to be one of the best stories in UFC sports. Hunt has only three losses with the three of the top-six heavy weights in the UFC space, Werdum, Miocic and dos Santos. Hunt clearly wants some big fight this
