EWYHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHBelow is a free essay on "Public Exam Life" from Anti Essays, your source for free research papers, essays, and term paper examples.

I am not a DSE student but go through two public examinations – CE and AL. For the CE period, to be honest, I didn’t prepare too much and was luckily got a satisfy mark. However, the last two secondary years were the hardest years. I studied Chinese, Use of English, Chinese History, Geography and Economics in AL.

In the summer before the AL exam, make-up classes and tests were full of my schedule. I have to say that it was so tired. The pressure was just pushing me away from the books and notes; I didn’t want to face it. I still used all my effort and time to prepare for the tests at school; finally, there was no extra time for me to seriously follow my AL study plan. The mock exam was prepared in a very short time. I tried to cover all the materials shortly before the mock. The result is worst. However, after going through all this, I realize the most important thing is not letting your school affect you too much.

To prepare for the public exam, planning is important. As a student with experience, I believe it is hard to get through the hard time without a timetable or a proposal. Believe me, the pressure and the load will make you want to stay

Throughout my years of high school I have always strived for the best grades that I could attain, and they didn’t come easy. There were plenty of distractions that had driven me off course. Whether it was long hours at practice, volunteering for my community, or having a part-time job, I couldn’t let these activities hinder my grades. This purpose had sprung in me, to not only strive in my extracurricular activities, but also my schoolwork. Balancing both school and additional activities wasn’t a simple task. This led me to many sleepless nights, in which I had to tutor myself on certain topics I was struggling on. This ranged from my hardest subject, to studying extra hours on my hardest class, and even simple topics that I needed extra work…

The excruciating examination process in which thousands of pressured students who are not fully ready to take an exam, must prove what they have ‘learned’ to aggressive and rapacious examiners, only a minority being selected in the vast marine of shinning students who have just been unchained of the shackles of school work and deadlines? And the rest...? They are left to dry out in the harsh world, to be taunted for doing miserable on that one day, not being given another try. Exams deteriorate us and oppress our very lives making our everyday routine revising and reiterating for an exam that can determine our whole life. The 2 sided pages trap us into our failure, whilst the time ticks at its loudest, making us write nothing but a single letter on a line which finally concludes our end result. Of course if you are to do well, you are fine, but with the ever-changing ruthless mark scheme it’s very difficult to do just well. The pressure put on the fragile mind only gives the tormenter one choice under the stress leading to the examination. To give up! Even the polite and civilised students fall and loose complete confidence in them self’s, feeling like they ruined there only last chance to shine. NO! It’s exhausting having to prepare for an examination when the end result is marked so harshly, it puts the only courage you have down. Masses of tress being removed, the same tress giving us the air we breathe. Papers and papers and pages and pages... all for a single letter on a line, is it truly worth it? Examinations should be banned from the education procedures to avoid any harm it does to the livelihood of a child’s mind.…

In high school, I always considered myself a good student. I payed attention in class, took notes, and genuinely took interest in my education. As a college student, I have tried to do the same thing. Of course, college is not quite the same as high school, and I have not always gotten the near-perfect results I used to expect. While I am working on my perfectionism as a separate issue, I am glad to take this opportunity to learn more about how to succeed in college. Three strategies I learned in this chapter include how to better prepare before class, how to review after class, and how to improve my note-taking strategies.…

The semester started off the same as most. I go into it telling myself that I will stay caught up this time. I won’t allow myself to do assignments at the last minute. As usual these promises are quickly broken. I work eight to twelve hours a day and six days a week most weeks, so often when I get home, the last thing I want to do is homework. This means putting everything for most of my classes off till Sunday. A habit I have sadly been in for the better part of my time at Gateway.…

During my junior year of high school, I was enrolled in two of the most rigorous AP courses that my school had to offer. AP Language and Composition and AP U.S History are extremely challenging courses by themselves. However not only did I have those courses to handle, I had my other school work, I was playing three sports, I was finishing up my Eagle Scout Project, and I had my obligation to the Delaware Youth Philanthropy Board. All of this amounted to a few long nights and high stress levels. Admittedly, at the beginning of the year I was ready to AP Language and Composition, and without the heavy encouragement of my teachers I probably would have. By the second marking period, both my organizational and time management skills had improved…

I spent countless hours thinking about my mistake and how to prevent the next one, until I finally deciphered a plan. With the next assignment delivered and the textbook placed on my lap, I wrote down every specific detail, scourged through the text gingerly, and reread passages over and over until it became engraved into my conscious. Every week I would repeat this procedure, until the hours of direct studying made my eyes dry and my brain exhausted like the eggs in one's breakfast. The test for the assignment came, and my mind became tranquil. Every question witnessed I answered with confidence. Eventually the tiring days of study paid off, the prize of my efforts came as a 92 test grade, and a smile planted on my face as I read those very numbers.…

Greek and roman were different nations and spoke completely different languages. Although these two civilization look alike in their dressing and eating, both of them think completely in different ways. The Greek romans considered granduise and impressive as something ideal, while Greeks appreciated something simple. The Greek ideals are based on the concept of man's freedom and this is why they lacked a central government and they were divided in smaller city states and kingdoms on the other hand the roman empires was united and the Romans were seen and servants of Rome…
