Justice Albright's Dilemma To Influence Chief Justice
1. The first dilemma is whether or not to attempt to influence Chief Justice George Albright to take this particular case or not.
2. As the law clerk I would have several options, first to be honest and explain the situation: the judge and ask him for his recommendation. The possible outcome may or may not be successful but according to the Justice Albrights sentencing record it may be a viable request, with a successful outcome. A second option would be to contact whomever assigns the docket cases and request a favor in this docket assignment requesting it be given to Justice Albright. The probability of this outcome being successful is dependent on whether or not the individual assigning the dockets feels that the favor may be repaid in the future, either by me or by Dewey, Cheatham and Howe. The third option would be to say nothing and let the chips fall as they may, perhaps Justice Albright would be assigned the case anyway. The probable outcome of this selection being in my favor would be 25%, not very probable.

Conflicting values in this dilemma are honesty, integrity and loyalty. The values or rather the application of these values are conflicting because all the options and outcomes involve a conflict of interest.
4. In my opinion it is not legal, not every woman can be guilty of a crime that does not carry a mandatory sentence.
5. I cannot predispose what is ethical to the Justice. If he is giving mandatory sentences to those it is required (i.e. Incarceration of women) and not incarcerating those that he can use his discretionary judgment, then obviously it is not an ethical decision for
