RINGKASAN ESEKUTIF

Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank” atau “Bank”) merupakan satu kumpulan perbankan yang terbesar di Malaysia dan mempunyai kuasa persaingan yang amat kuat di Asia Tenggara. Maybank diperbandankan di Malaysia pada 31 Mei 1960 dan bermula operasi-operasinya pada 12 september 1960. Pada 17 February 1962, Maybank telah disenaraikan pada Bursa Saham Kuala Lumpur dan Maybank adalah permodalan pasaran yang terbesar di Bursa Malaysia. Perkhidmatan yang disediakan oleh Maybank seperti pembukaan akaun, pemberian pinjaman, kad kredit, pelaburan, insurans dan perbankan Islam.

Maybank mempunyai banyak cawangan di keseluruhan dunia, iaitu 1750 buah cawangan dan termasuklah pejabat-pejabat dalam 14 buah negara. Maybank telah mengambil sebanyak 40,000 orang jurubank dan melayani lebih daripada 18 juta pelanggan. Selain itu, Maybank juga termasuk dalam senarai Top 10 Government Linked Company di Malaysia.

Maybank memandang jauh potensi dalam menjadi kumpulan perkhidmatan kewangan seratau yang unggul menjelang 2015. Jadi, tujuan kertas kerja ini adalah untuk menganalisis kedudukan semasa Maybank. Seterusnya mengkaji dan menganalisis sejauh mana aktiviti Maybank memenuhi hala tuju, misi, visi, objedtif serta perancangan Maybank. Akhirnya Syarikat Perunding kami akan mengemukakan cadangan dan memberi khidmat nasihat mengenai hala tuju syarikat pada masa depan dan mengemukakan cadangan bagi pelan perniagaan untuk tempoh 10 tahun akan datang.
