To assist Ron’s comprehension and dedication to the established classroom procedures and norms by starting with his morning routine, as his assistant, it would be prudent to allow Ron to take a huge role in creating the procedure this will significantly influence the way he owns it. Upon creation of the norms and procedures, I will ensure that he has an in-depth understanding of the reason for this new set up. Knowing that Ron is easily distracted especially during the transition times, I will give him an opportunity to practice this new procedure through a series of rehearsals. Such practice sessions allow me to see the sets of procedures and norms that work for him and those that will need modification. One other critical aspect…
The most important aspect of the film is that nurses should identify fall risk patients and implement interventions to prevent future falls. Interestingly, the image above has quite a few fall risks depicted, for example: the rug, coffee table, and furniture layout. However, one major risk is the large area rug in the center of the room. Often, people trip and stumble while walking on them and its outer corners. To lower the fall risk in this home, I would remove the area rug and rearrange the furniture to promote safer ambulation. Lastly, I would install a small outlet light near the bathroom to brighten the pathway for enhanced nighttime…

Across the nation, thousands of students ranging from elementary to college levels are sent back to their place of residence after a long day of lectures with work they must complete in order to be prepared for the next day of class. For younger students, the load is minimal, and may only consist of reviewing their vocabulary words. However, for students in high school and beyond, their backpacks are stretching at the seams with books to read, notes to study, papers to write, projects to complete. While many will ignore their responsibilities to focus on their extracurriculars, headstrong students with a yearn for learning will set their sights on their assignments and stay cooped up at a desk for hours upon hours in order to comprehend every…

Smart board. A smart board is an interactive whiteboard, which enhances your lessons by creating visual stimulation to the students. This has developed over the years from becoming a simple whiteboard to an outstanding piece of equipment which saves time and delivers amazing lessons all at the touch of a button. The Smart board has a multiple number of uses, which would help inclusive practice, but because of its wide variety you should take care not to introduce to many at once to over stimulate the student. I understand myself as an instructor I would always try to present the best lesson available but I know that this can be spoilt…

During the period of the 1950’s, black people were discriminated against and received unfair treatment because of white people’s opinion on the race. Black people at the time had to live in very bad conditions, health, housing and school wise. It was enforced very harshly that white and black people (or people of colour) to be separated. This washarsher in the south due to the fact they were more openly racist than the north of America. This is due to slavery as most farms were founded in the south. White people still wanted to hold onto there belief of power and higher status. In 1863 Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery. In 1890s there was a marked increase in laws…
This can be used effectively as it can develop a wide range of comfortable ways of self-assessing, checking and adjusting. This will encourage learners to check their own work and self-assess where needs further improvement.…
Good educators, especially in the lower levels of education, are always looking for effective ways to improve students’ learning and interest in subjects that may not be as appealing. Any activity that promotes reading and encourages critical thinking is especially valued by teachers (Angus, 1993). One of the key developments promoted by Zike is the use of Foldables in the classroom (2007). These are three-dimensional hands-on manipulative/graphic organizers. Foldables can quickly organize, display and arrange data making it easier for students to grasp concepts, theories, processes, facts, and ideas, or to sequence events as outlined in the content standards. They can result in student-made study guides that are compiled as students listen for main ideas, read for main ideas, or conduct research (Zike, 2007).…
Ping! Pong! The guns fired in the school. In 1999 April 20 school shooting broke out. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were responsible for the deaths of Rachel Scott and other boys and girls. Rachel was the first person to die in the shootings Columbine High School. Rachel was asked if she loved God, she replied and said yes. Dylan Klebold shot her in the head because she said she believed in God. Dylan and Eric planed this attack very well. They put bombs everywhere. They went into the school and shot 12 kids and 1 teacher. Dylan and Eric’s parents should not go to jail for what the kids did.…
Considering Tommy’s problems in Writing class, a good tool that could help him is a word prediction program. A word prediction program will help him predict words while writing and essay or report. This tool is good for kids who struggle with writing and will improve their spelling, grammar, and word choices. Keyboards and touchscreens, speech-to-text, spelling and grammar check are also good AT tools for Writing. A text-to-speech device, audiobooks, optical character recognition, graphic organizers, picture dictionaries will improve Tommy’s performance in his Reading class. For the Math class, calculators, graphing tools, drawing tools, equation solving tools, and dictation devices can help Tommy improve his skills in division and multiplication. I listed several tools for each academic area in which Tommy has problems with. However, I strongly recommend the school to provide Tommy with a Text-to-speech device because this device will help Tommy in all academic areas. I also recommend a calculator for Tommy’s math class because he has problems in division and multiplication. In addition, a keyboard and touchscreen can also be used in all academic areas and is a fun tool for students with learning…
A visual copy of the daily schedule is posted in the room to allow students to follow and anticipate the progress of activities. It also helps keep the staff on track in terms of time management throughout the day. The curriculum is designed to address core academic skills, as well as fulfill individual IEP goals for each student. Basic self help and social skills are integrated into each activity. Visual supports are routinely used with each activity in order to gain and hold students attention, build language skills, and foster an increased comprehension of what is being…
I have a great support system for my academic goals. I have taught my children to use the same form for tracking assignments that I use everyday. I print my schedule of assignments for each class in the beginning. I put the assignments into a binder. I use two different color highlighters to keep track of finished assignments and due dates. My yellow highlighter indicates to me I have finished an assignment and my pink highlighter lets me know when my work for the week is done. This helps me to know by looking for colors what I am missing and how much time I have left to finish.…
