It seems that almost everywhere you turn, the Kardashian family is making gossip news headlines. This may lead one to several questions, such as: "Is this family famous for anything substantial"? "Is society setting a bad example in such that if you are rich or beautiful then you really do not need to aspire to much in order to do well in life"? Some people may argue that the Kardashians are "clueless"- that they have no particular skills, or even much sense, and that the only thing that they really have going for them is their appearance and their scripted reality television show Keeping up with the Kardashians. on. Sounds pretty fair, right? In fact, no one really had heard anything about Kim Kardashian until her notorious sex tape came out, so of course, brains were not behind her initial call to fame. However, someone who has actually followed the Kardashian's history and the current story of their family endeavours may see past these scandals and the five minute headlines, and see them as a successful family who have been able to work the press with a savvy business sense.

Simpson in the infamous Nicole Simpson death trial. Robert Kardashian earned his credentials as a successful lawyer in this case, whether one agrees with the verdict or not, O.J. was cleared from his murder trial. Robert Kardashian represented O.J Simpson successfully and is remembered today for being ruthless and relentless in his defence of O.J. Simpson. Keeping up with the Kardashians is a reality television series that premiered in 2007 and follows the lives of the Kardashian family and is titled as the network's second most watched television show. Often the Kardashians are represented in the headlines as party girls who love to stay out all night and sleep all day, but for someone who watches the show, the Kardashians are a loving family who remain supportive to each other. Kourtney, Kim and Khloe own several successful clothing stores around the world, and they have a marketed fragrance, jewellery line and skin care products that have helped them earn the millions of dollars they are known for today. Kim is flown around the world to speak at charity benefits and host special events. She was a well liked contestant on Dancing with the Stars, she made guest appearances on America's Next Top Model, and she released her own workout DVD, just to name a few of her own successful business ventures. Kloe is currently a host on the successful show X Factor, she represents a charity against the cruelty of animals, and she is also becoming known for her advocacy for fertility research as a result of her own infertility issues. Kourtney is a loving mother of two children, and she is a business partner to many of her sisters’ successful business ventures.
