A dedicated student for most of her academic career, Karen didn’t have any problems with school until her ninth-grade year. Many of the friends she’d had since grade school had developed bad habits and were getting into trouble more and more. Through peer pressure, Karen’s grades slipped and she lost focus of her studies. It wasn’t until the next year when her Biology teacher, Ms.
Jenica Northrup, took a personal interest in Karen did she turn things around. See Ms. Northrup must have seen something in Karen. Something better than what she had fallen into. It was with Ms. Northrup’s guidance and wisdom that Karen was able to distance herself from her former friends. With her newfound determination Karen went on to finish high school with flying colors.
Now full immersed in college, Karen has an open mind and a clear conscience backing up her dedication to her career. There’s no going back for Karen.
