I really liked your wording, and how it was worded perfectly.
Additional comments:
Your letter was a very warm welcoming letter, the best part of the letter was how you said the direct supervisor was welcomed to meet you during the meeting you were going to have. The only thing I didn’t see and thought I would have seen was contact information. Only because you wrote if you were available and not actually stating a time or date. But that is only my opinion and it’s not necessarily needed.
