Ma, born on October 8, 1873, and is most known for her controversial role in the Barker-Karpis gang. At first, she had four sons with her husband George. Their children were all going to be a part of the Barker-Karpis gang: Arthur, Fred, Herman, and Lloyd.
When her children started committing crimes, Ma was pleased, and wanted to help them (Wack).

These robberies have not gone unnoticed, over time fatalities and stolen goods have shown that these events can be tragic and still affect us today. Even in the 1940’s, there was a great impact of bank robberies and today there is still an equal, if not more, impact.
This stolen money will be hard to make up for, and the fatalities impossible to make up for. Fatalities today are as horrible as they were back then, and over time it has shown we are making advancements and helping us recuperate over time.
