Katherine Kolcaba's Comfort Theory Paper

Katherine Kolcaba’s comfort theory is a relevant theory that is important to the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) role as primary provider. Kolcaba’s theory focuses on the comfort needs of the patient. If the needs of the patient are meet the patient will experience comfort. The Goal of comfort theory is for nurses to provide support to patients and these patients will have a positive outcome. As an FNP who values the whole patient and assesses the patient’s health care needs with a holistic approach.
