Online vs. Brick-and-Mortar Shopping
Two of the options we have are to shop online, or go to a brick and mortar store to do our purchasing. The two offer great sales and promotions along with selections from which we can choose. Although online shopping and brick and mortar may seem similar; however, both differ in pricing, convenience, and selection. Discounts are offered both online and in store, that makes it easy for the buyer to purchase products at lower prices. The individual, who chooses to buy in-store, has certain shopping hours in order to receive a discount or closeout price. The online customer needs to have a promotional code in order to get the best deals. Online stores also offer free shipping to get the customer to buy online. The customer will save money no matter how they decide to buy because both options offer ways to save money. The downfall with shopping online is the consumer has to wait for the product to arrive and to pay the shipping costs. The customer pays for shipping in the form of filling up his or her gas tank to drive to the store. The shipping cost is about the same if not more than if the individual drove to the store to purchase the product. If consumers discover that the item they have already purchased is offered at a lower price later on they will return it and repurchase it. Two benefits from shopping in-store are getting out of the house and physical activity from walking around a store. Another benefit for shoppers is the instant satisfaction of taking purchased items home instead of waiting for the products to be shipped. Shopping in a store allows people to try on clothes, test out a couch or chair to see if it is comfortable, or watch a television to see how clear the picture is. These are aspects of in-store shopping that people enjoy and are willing to overlook the inconveniences because of them. Whether you prefer to buy online

After I had gone to the physical store, I decided to check out the online store. The web-site has a very good navigation system and an easy access; also they have pretty much the same products they offer in the physical store and even greater variety. On the web-site all goods are divided in specific categories so it is easier to orient oneself and find the specific good without spending much time on searching. It’s a little bit difficult to find a particular thing in a physical store because of a huge assortment of goods, and some products were not placed within the right categories. That’s why I personally prefer the online store in the sense of the navigation, but for those who prefer to touch the product it is better to visit the…

Shelf space in a brick and mortar shop is limited. This means that the variety of goods in the store is limited as well. However, this is not the case with an online shop. In an online shop you can get to see products of various styles, sizes, and colors than that available in a brick and mortar shop. Moreover, if you don’t get to see what you require in one shop online, you can move on to the next one to find the product/service of your choice.…

One of the great choices that we have in the modern world today is whether to shop online or actually go to the brick and mortar store and do our shopping. While both offer great sales and promotions along with great selections from which to choose, they both have pros and cons which must be considered in order to determine which of the two choices offer the best shopping option. In-store shopping offers the buyer the opportunity to inspect and compare the items being considered for purchase along with sales people who can assist or aide the buyer with any problems or concerns that the buyer may encounter while shopping in the store in contrast to online shopping which limits the senses and the ability to compare because the items can’t actually be held or touched. Online shopping offers the buyer the convenience of shopping from the comfort of their home without all the crowds or having to travel to various stores which could be considered the best shopping experience, depending on the buyers’ personal shopping preference. Weighing the options that both online and in-store shopping offer the individual buyer will help that buyer determine which of the two modern day choices works best for their individual shopping needs.…

Firstly, online shopping has lack of quality examination. According to Jessica (2009), there is lack of touch of merchandise because we are only able to see pictures of the items on the website. Besides, we are not able to try the merchandise on especially clothing. According to Watrous (2010), we cannot really know for sure the item that we are buying is really what we want to buy. Not like a regular store, we cannot see and feel firsthand what we are purchasing. In addition, when we shop from a regular shop, we can see, touch or even try the merchandise on especially clothing and at least visually examine that it looks okay. Not only that, we can talk to a sales person to illuminate doubts regarding an item. Other than that, online shopping requires us to just take the word of the description of the merchandise which is usually smartly crafted by online stores to make it sound appealing to people. Normally, the pictures of the items we see online are much better than once we have the items in front of us.
