Katniss and Peeta tapped by Capital Mutations
Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, were trapped in the jungle yesterday, during the 75th annual Hunger Games, by Capital two big, hairy, orange monkey mutations. The monkeys seemed as though they were after her specifically.

Specialists say that according to analysis, the monkeys were programed to catch Katniss only. Peeta was there, however, but were completely ignored by the monkeys. If you were nearby you might of heard Peeta yelling at the monkeys to come get him. This may have been to help Katniss get away

She killed Glimmer by dropping a nest of Tracker Jackers onto her. She killed Marvel by throwing a spear at his throat. She also killed Cato, but he didn't die right away. She had been through lots of battles, like running from Mutts, and getting burned by a fireball towards the beginning of the…

Ricky and Doughboy family boundaries are not strong enough to keep them off from misbehaving or make them focus on how to get a better life. Consequently, this has resulted in them looking for alternative ways to survive and satisfy the lack that they face currently. The external and internal factors of social understanding can be coupled with sociological theories that deepen the understanding of a family unit. “Most theories about families suggest that families should not only have flexible, clear boundaries with the outside world, but they must also have well-established intergenerational boundaries. In other words, the parents should be partners in parenting the children” (Collins et al, 2013. p. 61). Simply put, parents should play an…

In “A Good Man is Hard to Find,” Flannery O'Connor frequently utilizes foreshadowing to raise suspense and intrigue readers in anticipation of her characters’ eventual demise. The story barely begins before we encounter the first example. The story’s protagonist, the grandmother, announces news of an escaped criminal to her son. The felon was headed to Florida where, readers quickly learn, the family was also going. She exclaims, “you read here what it says he did to these people,” and “I couldn't take my children any direction with a criminal like that aloose in it” (117).…

This is the story of the 74th Hunger Games and at the center of it is Katniss Everdeen, a resident of the poorest of all the districts, District 12. During "The Reaping", the "Tribute" selection comes to pass and is where Katniss ultimately volunteers to fight after her sister 's name is drawn from the fish bowl. Her male counterpart is the baker 's son, Peeta Melark. Per the rules, only one or neither of these two combatants will ever return to District 12 alive. "The Hunger Games" are treated as just that, games, they are televised in the Capitol and all 12 Districts as people look on, the members of the Capitol cheering along the way and members of each District looking on in sadness as their children are murdered for the satisfaction of the oppressive government. After the tributes are selected they are taken by train to the Capitol. On the train and in the capitol you can see the apparent culture shock in the face of the 2 district 12 contestants. Coming from the poorest district modeled after the coal mining era, where most people live in absolute poverty Peeta and Katniss are taken back by the surplus of luxury and wealth exhibited by the Capitol.…

Peeta is head over heels in love with Katniss, so obviously he knows how to treat Katniss like a princess, to make her feel special. Since Peeta is the baker’s son in District 12, he’s strong, because he carries around bags of flour, so he can help Katniss around. Also, he can make bread, decorate cakes, or paint pictures (his talent discovered in the Capitol) as a living, where Gale, only knows how to hunt illegally, which isn’t very effective. Now that Gale works in the coal mines, there’s a chance that he can die, so it wouldn’t so good if Katniss loses Gale if she picks him. Peeta was with Katniss throughout most of the Hunger Games, so he would understand her more, and he was with her during darkest times, so she would feel safe whenever she’s with him. Peeta is a very smart and wise man, because he camouflaged in the Hunger Games to not get hurt even more, when he’s already badly injured. He’s also wise, because when him and Katniss were sitting on the roof, he said how he didn’t just want to be a piece in the Capitol’s game (The Hunger Games), and wanted to die as himself, not as a monster. This made Katniss think about what he said, and that would help if she needed any advice in the future. He respects everyone’s opinion, and cares about others around him. For example, when Katniss talked to Peeta about running away with her family, Gale’s family, Haymitch, and himself, Peeta wasn’t so negative about knowing that Gale was running away with them. Unlike Peeta, Gale wasn’t too happy about finding out that Peeta was running away with…

In Katniss’s mind she is determined to defy the Capitol and make them look ridiculous in the eyes of the entire country. The way the author portrays this scene in the book, proves that this was an act of defiance against the capitol, being that Katniss is not only brave but loyal to her district, and Peeta. Also being an act of survival, Katniss realizes she would rather die with Peeta other than survive and have him dead. They both knew they would not let the other die after they realized there could only be one victor, so they agreed to die together not having to live without the other.…
