Katniss Challenges

As the tributes line up on the bases waiting for the horn to sound, they all face a challenge of their own, fear. Fear of dying the second they step off that platform, and fear of what challenges lye ahead of them. When the horn is sound their hearts pounding through their hears and they’re bodies move without them even thinking about it. Katniss sees people already slicing and stabbing through their teammates. She grabs what seems to be a bag of simple necessities, a bow and arrow and runs. Now she is faced with another challenge, to find somewhere to camp out that is safe and away from danger. Everything seems to be becoming real to her. This is a kill or be killed situation, and the challenges that arise are enough to make anybody crumble under the pressure. Not only do they face challenges from other tributes, but the capital constructs obstacles in the arena if they are not entertained enough. As she is getting too close the line she is not allowed to pass, the capital starts a forest fire to turn her back in the other direction, almost killing her and having her burn under a fallen tree. She ends up with a deep burn on her leg, but Haymitch becomes a hero himself and sends in an ointment to heal her. As Katniss is walking through the woods, she meets a girl named Rue who is
There’s one problem though, they have become in love with one another. They decide instead of living without the other, they will both die with poisonous berries. The capital urges them to stop, because then they will have no victor and the whole game would have been for nothing. Katniss has so much love in her heart for those she cares about and will do anything to keep them alive. If I were placed in Katniss’s position, I would have done the same thing, I don’t think I could live without someone I
