Katniss Everdeen In The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins
I am reading a book called the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The main character is Katniss Everdeen. She is caring, kind and brave. She lives with her mother and her sister Prim. Katniss hunts with a guy named Gale. They are friends but they both have feelings more than just a friendship for each other. She lives in District twelve. There are districts because North America didn’t like President Snow's rules. The country would fight him and bicker. So he called North America Panem. He divided the country into thirteen different Districts so that each District would have a rule to follow and if that rule wasn't followed then we would have the Hunger Games each year. One boy and one girl from each District would be picked by the Capital …show more content…
The people in the arena have to kill people from different Districts. You have to hunt and keep yourself alive only. Katniss meets a girl name Rue from District four. You aren't supposed to help other people out but Katniss thinks of her as her sister. She helps her and makes her she is safe . They have a plan to steal the supplies from Cato the boy from another District. Katniss and Rue have decided to split up and steal it. They agreed to meet up at night. It is night time and Katniss has stole the stuff but she still has to find Rue. So she searches and she finds her laying in a net crying for help. Her wound is bleeding. Katniss gives her medicine but nothing heals it. Rue asks Katniss if she can sing a song. Katniss can't sing that good but she tries and Rue dies. Normally when someone dies in the arena the helicopters pick them up and dig them a grave but instead Katniss puts roses arounds her because she doesn't want her to be dug up. The rule has changed and it is that two people is the same district can win the games not just one person. So Katniss remembers that the only person she wants to win with is Peeta. She looks for Peeta and finds him. Peeta loves Katniss. They kiss and they warm each other up when it is cold. Katniss takes care of Peeta when he is bleeding. Peeta loves katniss but he is sort of taking care of Katniss and kissing her because it is for the audience.
