across the boughs. As in the winter's cold, among the woods the mistletoe-no seed of where U grows-is green with new leaves, girdl11g the tapering stems with yellow fruit: just so the gold leaves seemed against the dark-green Hex; so, in the gentle wind, the thin gold leaf was crackling. And at once Aeneas plucks it and, eager, breaks the hesitating bough and carries it into the Sibyl's house. Meanwhile along the shore the Teucrians were weeping for Misenus, offering their final tributes to his thankless ashes.…
Throughout history, many native tribes have been subjected to the effects of colonialism. They are often stripped of their land and resources, and are forced to adapt to a new way of life. Their cultural values and even political presence weaken as they become a mere product of acculturation. There is no doubt that the clash of two unique societies with mismatched power usually has violent and unfair outcomes. However, there have been a few cases where the effects of colonialism did not completely penetrate the ideology and lifestyle of a culture. Living proof of this is the aboriginal Kayapo Tribe of the Brazilian rainforest who stood up against pressures from the outside world in order to preserve their way of live. Even though the Kayapo are outnumbered and are disadvantaged technologically, they have still been able to coexist with Brazilian society and maintain their cultural integrity.…
The bulk of a zipper consists of two strips of fabric tape, each affixed to one of the two pieces to be joined, carrying from tens to hundreds of specially shaped metal or plastic teeth. These teeth can be either individual or shaped from a continuous coil, and are also referred to as elements.[1] The slider, operated by hand, moves along the rows of teeth. Inside the slider is a Y-shaped channel that meshes together or separates the opposing rows of teeth, depending on the direction of the slider's movement. "Zipper" is onomatopoeia, because it was named for the sound it makes when you use it, a high-pitched "zip!"…

On the date of April 3, 1964, Malcolm X delivered a speech to the American public called, The Ballot or the Bullet. Throughout the speech, African-Americans were encouraged to stand up for their rights and vote. He also states that in the event of non-compliance for equality from the government, that they might need to take matters into their own hands and take up the use of arms. This came after Malcolm separated from his decade long position as spokesman for the Nation of Islam. The main goal of the speech was to motivate African-Americans to join the Civil Rights Movement and stop disfranchisement. In the beginning of Malcolms speech he states the fact that he is a Muslim though, he would not talk about religion as it was not important and would simply amount to another means of African-American separation. He continued to say that instead, emphasis would lie on an overall common ground for all African-Americans. He aimed to gain a common understanding that African-Americans should stick together regardless of religion. The name of the speech comes from the ballot to vote and the bullet to use arms if necessary, but it is also the reference of how he related a ballot and a bullet. He said, A ballot is like a bullet. You don't throw your ballots until you see a target, and if that target is not within your reach, keep your ballot in your pocket. He explained the ballot of 1964 as being the time, "When all of the white political crooks will be right back in your and my community ... with their false promises which they don't intend to keep." He further stated that the democrats lied about supporting the civil rights bill and had no real intentions of passing it, that they were simply playing games and using African-Americans as bait.Essentially in a summary of the ballot or the bullet, Malcolm stated that African-Americans must use the ballot or the bullet, they must defend themselves and push for equality, black nationalism and human rights. After voting by 137 top…
