I found Kennedy’s inaugural speech to be very informative. I do feel that his speech was logical, correct as
well as persuasive. He talks about his beliefs in the country as well as the direction the county needs to go in
to be able to prosper. His speech was logical because it talks about moving in the direction of reasonable
change, and it was persuasive because he was able to address the forefathers who founded this country
and why we need to get back what they initially sought for everyone. The speech does address the required
elements of the message content because Kennedy was successful in touching on why change was needed
as well as talk about things like poverty, hardships and opposing any foe to ensure the success of liberty in
our country. The delivery of Kennedy’s speech was right on the mark, he was able to talk about the change
that was needed and then he gave examples of why that changes was actually needed and I feel that he
was successful in getting his point across to his audience and this is confirmed by the claps and nods by the
audience behind him. Kennedy’s voice production was great, he was able to
project his voice so his audience could hear him, his pace was right on the mark because he spoke slowly
enough for me to be able to think about what he was saying during the speech but not too slow for me to get
bored. The inflection in his voice was good because it emphasized the topics that were the most important
and showed how honest, meaningful and passionate Kennedy was about the change he felt our country
needed. Kennedy did a good job aligning his opinions and observations with the module content, he was
able to bring forth his beliefs and opinions and express them by talking about the things that needed to
change. I didn’t see or hear Kennedy cite any outside readings or sources other than the people he
mentioned in the beginning of his speech. My takeaway
